Maria graduated from the University of Bologna, where she was an intern in anaesthesia and surgery for over two years, in 2013. She moved to the UK, and in February 2015 started a specialist internship followed by a clinical residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. After completing her residency, she worked in a busy referral hospital in the Midlands. After this experience she became an anaesthesia locum. She is currently preparing the exam for the European Diploma in Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Her professional interests are acute and chronic pain management, in particular with ultrasound-guided locoregional techniques.
