Thank you for caring

Thank you so much for your kind donation of £1500. We are very grateful for your support and really appreciate the fact that Davies Vets chose to make us their Charity of the Year in 2021.

As you may already know, CHUMS provides Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Services to over 3,000 children and young people from Luton, Bedfordshire, and Kent every year.

All money donated to CHUMS Charity goes towards funding five vital CHUMS services that receive no contractual funding from statutory funders such as the NHS or the Local Authority.

Which is why donations such as yours are so important, as they directly support and enable our key services; the Bedfordshire Suicide Bereavement Service, the Babyloss Service, our Disability Friendship Scheme, and the Recreational Therapeutic Service for children & young people (CYP) with behavioural issues who struggle to talk about how they feel. Your donation also enables the work of our unique Trauma Service, which provides help for children and young people struggling to cope with the negative impact of bereavement and non-bereavement trauma through the provision of emotional wellbeing workshops for children suffering with anxiety and depression, and other targeted interventions.

The children & young people we meet need specialist interventions to help with anxiety, increase self–esteem and build their resilience.  With help from supporters like you, our experienced clinicians and emotional wellbeing practitioners can provide the right support, at the right time, for each individual child – allowing them to go forward and reach their full potential.
