In celebration of 25 years of Davies Veterinary Specialists we are holding our DAVIES BIG25 CONGRESS for vets and nurses.
We promise a day of CPD designed just for you, our veterinary colleagues. As an iiE Green Accredited status referral hospital we will of course be running a sustainability stream. As well CPD on Emergency Care and ICU care.
Streams available:
Vet Stream:
- Endocrine emergencies, with a focus on DKA and the Addisonian crisis with Anna Threlfall
- Bloody Spleens with Mark Goodfellow and Smita Das
- Approach to Spinal Emergencies with Nick Grapes
- Anaesthesia and the emergency patient with Frances Downing
- The principles and pitfalls of intestinal surgery with Ronan Doyle
Nurse Stream:
- Peri operative Blood Pressure: ‘How low can you go? With Sarah Gibson
- Pain in the Emergency and ICU Patient – practical tips for assessment and management (and avoiding further damage!) With Louise Clark
- Nursing the DKA patient with Jemma Gaughran
- ECG interpretation and common abnormalities with Diana Azevedo
- Peri operative management of the brachycephalic patient with Nichole Neate
Sustainability Stream:
- Sustainability in the Veterinary Care setting featuring Zoe Halfacree and Ellie West
What can I expect?
Join us at The Forest Centre, Marston Moretaine, MK43 0PR
8:30am – Arrive welcome drinks and pastries
9:00 – 12:00pm – Your morning CPD stream session
12:00 – 1:00pm – Lunch and networking
1:00 – 4:30pm – Your afternoon CPD stream session
4:30pm – 8:00pm – Complimentary Hog Roast and networking event
The day will be followed by a hog roast (and vegetarian option) networking evening occasion until 8pm.
