Meet Rebecca and her lovely rescue pets!

As part of love your pet day on 20th February we wanted to introduce you to some of our team and their pets who are lucky enough to be homed with them.

Meet Rebecca Stevens our Therapy Centre Assistant and Hydrotherapist!

She has rescued two of her Guinea Pigs – April and Piglet!

“April is a 6-year-old rescue. She lives with her friend Pepsi – who is blind. She had surgery mid 2021 and Ula Rzeszutek looked after her until she was completely recovered as she needed daily bandage changes. Being 6 doesn’t stop her, she still races round shouting at me when it’s time for veggies.”

“Piglet is roughly 3-4 years old. Another rescue. She is an only Guinea as she doesn’t like to share. She never fails to put a smile on my face and is a right diva – especially when I am trying to take her picture.  Her favourite thing is chin rubs and snuggling up under my chin for a snuggle and a snooze.”

Rebecca has also rescued her dog, Ginny. “Ginny is a 9-year-old rescue from Cyprus. She had her hip replaced here in January 2021.  She is like a new dog and has her goofball moments. She is a very gentle soul and will take attention off anyone willing to say hi.”
