RCVS & European Veterinary Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging
Clinical service: Diagnostic Imaging
Charlotte Whatmough graduated with honours in 2000 from the Royal Veterinary College. She spent 4 years in small animal general practice in Essex then from 2004-2007 undertook a Residency in diagnostic imaging at the RVC, gaining the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in 2007.
She joined Davies Veterinary Specialists as a diagnostic imager in October 2007.
|In my first job in general practice it quickly became evident how fundamental imaging was in obtaining a diagnosis in a lot of cases. Initially my real interest was in ultrasound. However, the more I learnt about imaging, the more I began to understand how all of the different imaging modalities fit together to provide different information about the same disease process.
I still enjoy the challenge of deciding on the best methods of imaging some of the more challenging cases and achieving a diagnosis as a direct result of imaging in a difficult case. It is a privilege to be working as part of a large, enthusiastic radiology team with access to all imaging modalities.
